After postponing our Annual Meeting due to COVID restrictions, we are now combining it with our Annual Campout. Double the fun! (Please RSVP by August 4th to info@diablotrust.org.)

This event will begin with our Annual Meeting followed by a continuation of presentations and topics discussed at our Recreation Summit (held 8/12 at Elks Lodge). This day will feature small group discussions focused on finding solutions to recreation impacts in Northern Arizona followed by a facilitated, solutions-based discussion. After the productive business wraps up, then comes the Campout fun! We’ll enjoy dinner and fun around the campfire and campout under the stars!

Both 8/13 events will be held at Ashurst Run on Flying M Ranch (directions below).

• Annual Meeting, 8/13 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM

  • Ranch updates followed by presentations from Tim Holt (AZGFD), Steve Cassady (AZGFD), Matt Eberhart (AZ State Parks and Trails), and more!

• Annual Campout, 8/13-8/14

  • 8/13 at 5:30 p.m. Catered dinner at 5:30 p.m. followed by fun around the campfire and camping under the stars. Dinner menu includes: tri-tip, beans, scalloped potatoes, salad, biscuits, peach cobbler, lemonade, and tea.

  • 8/14 at 7:00 a.m. Catered breakfast to conclude the Campout. Breakfast menu includes: sausage gravy, biscuits, hash browns, fresh fruit, and coffee.

For a safe and successful campout, we ask those attending to bring the following for themselves:

• Any food needs outside of catered meals (menus will be added soon)

• Drinks – whatever you wish to drink during the event, including your own water

• Chairs and/or blankets for sitting

• Weather is unpredictable, please plan accordingly (hat, shade, raingear, etc.)

• Camping supplies: Tent or RV

• Head lamps/flash lights

• Musical instruments – if desired (there are often several folks who end up playing together)

• Anything else you need for your campout experience

Directions to Ashurst Run from Flagstaff:

·         Head south on Forest Highway 3/Lake Mary Road

·         Turn left onto Forest Road 125/Kinnikinick Lake Road

·         Look for “Diablo Trust” signs, about 1.5 miles down Forest Highway 125
