The Recreation Summit will focus on recreation in Northern Arizona. More specifically, the event will focus on the sharp increase in all types of recreation observed in 2020 and expected in 2021 and the associated impacts. We hope to encourage thoughtful and productive conversations to seek a solution-based path forward to both protect our public lands and keep them open for all to enjoy.
The event will begin with a great lineup of speakers with facilitated discussions to follow (agenda below). We’ll then have an opportunity to move into breakout groups that will provide open discussion of issues, impacts and steps towards solutions. Coffee, water and snacks will be available at the Recreation Summit. If possible, please bring your own coffee cup.
Please note that the Recreation Summit discussions will continue in small group discussions at our Annual Meeting and Campout, 8/13-8/14 at Ashurst Run on the Flying M Ranch.
Please RSVP to info@diablotrust.org by August 8th for this event. If you plan to join the the August 13-14 events, please RSVP for those by August 4th.
