Joint Land Use Study Community Meeting in Bellemont

  • Fire Station 82 11951 W Shadow Mountain Dr. Bellemont, AZ United States (map)

Come learn about the Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) and help to formulate solutions to improve our community. A JLUS is a cooperative planning process that promotes compatibility between community development and the missions of Naval Observatory (NOFS) and Camp Navajo while minimizing impacts of military operations on adjacent communities. The final product will recommend strategies to support a healthy economy, environment and community while safeguarding the military mission.

Coconino County, in collaboration with the City of Flagstaff, Camp Navajo and Naval Observatory Flagstaff Station, invites you to a community meeting at 6 p.m. on Feb. 6. It’s at Fire Station 82—11951 W Shadow Mountain Dr. in Bellemont, Ariz. Dark skies, forest health, future growth and land use compatibility related to Camp Navajo and the Naval Observatory will be discussed. Your feedback is integral to the project and all community members are encouraged to attend!
