We will be resetting the utilization cages at all monitoring locations, so please plan on slightly longer days than normal and be sure to bring lunch.
Bring a lunch and plenty of water. Wear sturdy shoes, sunscreen and a hat.
Due to the uncertainty of the weather and the potential for wet soil conditions that will prohibit vehicular travel, cancellation and rescheduling of the monitoring is possible.
The Forage Resource Study Group was one of the first monitoring groups formed in the early 1990s to study the impact and presence of antelope, elk, and other wildlife on the ranches. It’s changed a little bit since its inception, but the data is fairly consistent and is still used to promote a balance in managing for wildlife and livestock. It’d be great to have you out on one of the field days!
