We have a lot of NAU students and faculty, and community members who share a mutual interest in environmental issues. From different parts of campus - we have the majors Sustainable Communities, Climate Sciences and Solutions, and Earth Sciences and Environmental Sustainability, as well as groups like the Green Jacks, the Environmental Caucus, and various ALTs committed to environmental causes. We may share some classes together and even attend some of the same events.

From the community, the Environmental Caucus and other collaboratives (like Diablo Trust!) play big roles in maintaining and enhancing the environmental activism and discussions of Flagstaff and Northern Arizona.

This Green Social is an informal gathering where we can all get to know each other better, talk about what we're working on, and maybe even do some good old-fashioned coalition building.
